- Mr. Sylvia comes from a long line of military veterans extending back to World War II.
- In his spare time, Lucas and his wife enjoy visiting breweries, exploring the nation’s National Parks, and kayaking.

Biography
Lucas Sylvia is an experienced attorney who has worked in VA Disability for over a decade. Since 2015, he has worked in the Veteran’s disability field, first as a paralegal and later as an attorney beginning in 2021. Mr. Sylvia earned his J.D. from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2021, graduating summa cum laude. He is also accredited by the VA to handle veteran’s cases at the Regional Office, Board, and Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims.
After almost 10 years representing thousands of disabled veterans at Chisholm, Chisholm & Kilpatrick, Mr. Sylvia joined Cameron Firm, PC in November 2024 as a Supervising Attorney.
Lucas Sylvia has extensive experience working cases that involve exposure to herbicide agents, Persian Gulf War illnesses, Special Monthly Compensation, and claims involving Total Disability based on Individual Unemployability (TDIU). He also developed evidence that later supported the precedential decision of Cantrell v. Shulkin, which clarified the VA’s evaluation of marginal and sheltered employment for TDIU claims.
