What Is The American Veterans & Service Members Survival Guide

There is a FREE download called “The American Veterans & Servicemembers Survival Guide”. Veterans for America published the guide. And The National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP) is the distributor. This publication is instrumental in helping veterans and current service members. Especially those who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan, get the help they need and deserve.

It is a 605-page guide that describes in-depth the problems of the veteran and servicemember (and his or her family).  It also covers in detail the benefits and services available to him or her (and family).  As well as the veterans and servicemembers issues that will be decided in the next several years.

Most important, it helps the veteran and servicemember understand how various agencies work.  Not just how they work in theory but in practice as well.  Additionally, a veteran will gain an understanding of how he or she can cut through the bureaucracy and confusion and get the benefits and services to which he or she is entitled.

Some of the topics covered include:

Service-Connected Compensation
Need-Based Pension for Low-Income Veterans or Survivors
Explaining the VA Claims & Approval Process
Upgrading Less-Than-Fully-Honorable Discharges
Correcting Military Records and Related Issues
Getting Your Military Records
Disability Separation and Retirement
