Biography

Attorney Alayna Carroll is based in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland, and has spent over 7 years as Counsel at the Board of Veterans’ Appeals. At the Board, she drafted over 1,000 decisions, adjudicated appeals as an Acting Veterans Law Judge, and completed details with the Specialty Case Team and the Office of Assessment and Improvement.

She was a managing editor for the Veterans Law Review and has drafted articles for both the Veterans Law Review and the Veterans Law Journal. Prior to working at the Board, she practiced personal injury litigation at a firm representing plaintiffs.

Mrs. Carroll is a military spouse and an adjunct professor at her alma mater, Loyola University New Orleans, where she teaches a course in Veterans’ Law. During law school, she was active on Moot Court as a competitive brief writer and oralist and served on the executive board.
