Biography

For eight years, Sergio Sarabia served in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer Second Class (E-5) with a Quartermaster (QM2) rating, specializing in shipboard navigation. Stationed aboard the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6) at Naval Station San Diego, Mr. Sarabia deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2004 and provided tsunami relief efforts in Indonesia and Sri Lanka. He later deployed twice more: in 2007 to the Persian Gulf and in 2009 to the Horn of Africa, operating in Oman, Somalia, and along the coast of Djibouti.

After leaving the Navy, Mr. Sarabia pursued higher education, earning an Associate of Arts in Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix.

Prior to joining Cameron Firm, PC, he served as a Veterans Benefits Counselor with the Arizona Department of Veterans Services for five years. In this role, he specialized in helping veterans and their families navigate the complexities of the VA claims process, including disability claims, pensions, education benefits, and burial assistance. His expertise includes adjudicating pre-discharge claims, initial claims, presumptive conditions, and appeals at all levels, including the Board of Veterans’ Appeals (BVA).

As a Navy veteran with extensive experience assisting fellow service members, Sergio Sarabia brings a deep understanding of the VA system and a passion for advocating on behalf of veterans and their families.
